The modest-sized ski area suits all standards with plenty of easy terrain, as well as some demanding steep chutes. The gondola rises steeply from the edge of the old town and dog-legs down from the top station to Mountain Village. Backbone of the skiing is See Forever, a rolling blue run from Guiseppe's Restaurant at 11,890ft down to the village at 9,540ft. The whole area is made up of gladed runs with a good pitch for intermediate cruising. The sector immediately above the town is steeper with some tough fall-line options such as Kant-Mak-'M, Spiral Stairs, and East and West Drain. Further challenging runs are served by the Gold Hill lift. The expansion into Prospect Bowl a few years ago greatly added to Telluride's appeal. A short hike from the top accesses Genevieve, La Rosa, and Crystal – three of the steeped double-black-diamonds in the resort. Telluride Air Garden terrain park, served by the gondola from Mountain Village, has a new monster super-pipe.
