| On the same lift pass as Vail,Beaver Creek and Keystone,Breckenridge is an attractive old mining town which is well known for its popularity with the UK and Irish markets,having a good choice of quality accommodation either on or just off the slopes,at reasonable prices.Also being one of the highest ski areas in the world,with even its village approaching 2 miles above sea level,snow quality and quantity is assured.Because of this though, take care with altitude sickness and we often recommend acclimatising by staying your first night in the mile high city of Denver. Another resort geared for all levels of ski abilities.The signposting is very clear and the grooming is excellent.Skiing is on Peak 7,8,9 and 10 with some excellent easy glade skiing. There are over 100 restaurants and bars to cater for your needs and helps in maintaining a lively apres ski.Christmas lights and decorations remain throughout the season giving the town a festive air.The shops offer a good array of goodies with the factory outlets of Silverthorne just a few miles away. |
